What is a women’s circle?
An intimate gathering of only women who come together in support of each other and our own inner work.

What happens in a women’s circle?
We will be cocooned in a safe and comfortable space, seated in a circle and sharing our experiences about a common topic, perhaps loss, desires, dreams and fears. There may be an opportunity to journal. Shena likes to bring tea and invite women to bring their favourite such as chocolates, fruits and nuts too!

How are the circles hosted by Shena special?
Each circle opened by Shena is unique and designed based on the moon’s energy and its thematic invitation. Some say it is more than just a circle – women come together to explore sometimes movement, dance, art, singing, chanting. These may be incorporated as 1 special mindful activity of the circle, which also includes 1-1 interaction with other women and the full sharing circle. Her circles typically go on for more than 2 hours, while keeping group size small and intimate.

When does it happen?
Women’s circles are usually held around the new and full moons in various seasons of the year. This is our feminine way of allowing themes of self-transformation and reflection these astrological shifts bring, so we may navigate the next couple of months with ease and purpose.

Should I join the next one?
Women from all walks and phases of life are welcome. Invite your mothers and sisters along. Ask your bestie to come with you. Or show up by yourself for yourself. You are safe to join anytime you feel called to. This is a judgement-free zone.

“Women circles facilitated by Shena are a great way to foster meaningful connections with like-minded sisters, celebrate womanhood, and also to empower and be empowered by the female community. Shena has held a space so sacred and safe for us and she makes us feel comfortable and welcomed showing up as we are, despite us coming together as strangers. She is authentic and engaged throughout in her sharing and guidance but at the same time, also giving us the necessary space and support to hold our own. I highly recommend women from all walks of life to join Shena in her circles as I’m sure that you will leave feeling inspired and uplifted as much as I did.”

“The idea of being in a women’s circle where you may be asked to confront your fears can be daunting, especially so when it’s your first. But I didn’t feel any of that with Shena.

Shena has the ability to make anyone feel welcome and filled with warmth. The space she holds is always non-judgemental, inviting and homely. The efforts that go into setting up the circles and the curation of activities tailor made to allow us to understand our moods during specific moon phases are just some of the ways Shena goes above and beyond to make the circles unique and personable.

Every women’s circle with Shena feels like coming home to one’s self after a long while. It truly emphasises the essence of girlhood in a raw, “no holds barred” manner.

I’d encourage anyone looking to join a women’s circle to try one conducted by Shena, you may keep coming back for more.”

“Shena is a dear friend and teacher, and to me, a ‘Mama bear’. Nurturing, genuine, intuitive and curious, she is able to bring magic to any of her teachings. I have had the honour of attending multiple of her sharings. I don’t call them classes or sessions because she is not simply putting a point across, but rather authentically, sincerely and generously sharing what she holds dear to her heart.

Mama Shena is special, and has gifted the world a variety of teachings, from the conventional 60 minute yoga class, to holding space for tender, sensitive hearts through women’s circles, as well as new and full moon circles, all of which I’ve had the great honour of attending. Her ability to weave souls from various backgrounds into a tapestry holding us all together as a kula, in a span of a few hours, is truly unique. Till today, I am friends who those of whom I have met in these sacred connections.

I’m ever so blessed to have met this spiritual and intuitive soul, and to call her my friend, teacher and ‘Mama’. I sincerely look forward to what she has to offer in the coming future.”

Her tender guidance, combined with the thoughtful touches like beautiful flowers, cards, and healthy nibbles, really enhances the warm and inviting atmosphere.
