Probably my favourite meme of all time.
It is poor spiritual hygiene to give everyone access to you.
I believe it’s meant to be—the direction of my yoga specialisation to support the empowering of women today. Years ago I wouldn’t imagine doing today’s work. I believe now that it’s the inevitable, a calling rooted in personal experiences and over a decade of inner work. Would you believe me if I shared that before this, I couldn’t place a hand on my womb area without flinching? Or that I used to suffer from the inconvenience of stress incontinence (read: uncontrollable urge and peeing in my pants)? And that I have serious self-love and self-doubt issues, not that it’s done. I’m still excavating and oof all the gems and dirt that continue to show up. Inner work never ends.
But hey look here, my fear of my womb area, my disgust of the menstrual blood, an old injury of the pelvic region left unattended – these are issues I didn’t think were an issue when I was in my 20s and early 30s. As my practice of yoga continuously unfolds, over a journey of almost 14 years now, I found myself arriving at the womb. Curious. Head bowed low, hands on heart connecting to womb, humbled and loving. And a little wild!
Yoga has over the years spirited my body and nourished my soul. Walking faithfully on this path has also serendipitously brought me to sweet wonderful teachers Emily Kuser, Anouk Aoun, Bex Tyrer, Amber Sawyer as I explored various teachings. These teachers I love studying with gravitate toward women’s healing. Now that the puzzle pieces fit, I am not surprised looking back and seeing the divine’s magical guidance. It’s meant to be.
So here I am. With years of seeing and learning to re-love myself, years of studying with teachers who care for women, years of embodying this work called the womb wisdom. It has been a long journey of rewilding my feminine self – and I love that there are more work to do! I’ll love to share all that I’ve learned along the way with you and the important women in your life.
Let me know if you’d like to be in – or host – a womb wisdom workshop ♡
MENSTRUAL CYCLE WORKSHOP– IN PERSON
Duration: 3 hours
Study materials provided, digital format
What is the flow of the workshop?
In short, there will be a 2-hour lecture on women’s anatomy, the changing hormones and emotions in our menstrual cycle, and how to navigate these shifts more effectively in our daily lives.
Plus 1 hour of mini activities, gentle yoga movements, small group discussion and journaling for the next 1 hour to deepen our inward journey.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
We will shine a light on how all these affect our emotional landscape. With the air cleared, women who feel occasionally burnt out, suffer from a lack of passion and direction, working on self-love and self-worth, may realise that “Oh- it’s not me, I’m not crazy!” and learn how to harness the power of each inner season.
The lecture may also cover a brief but important segment on how to cope with your inner critic, and tips on how to tap into the energy of each season so we know when to rest and retreat, when your cup is full enough to organise family gatherings or go out to socialise, and when to step into the limelight (e.g. present an important school/work presentation!) confidently.
We will participate in a journaling activity to learn how to chart, analyse and sync up with your moon cycle.
Who will benefit from this workshop?
Menstrual cycle awareness is a spiritual practice and a mindfulness tool for women. Get to know your unique power of rhythm and learn how to live a thriving well-paced life.
This is a beautiful time to demystify the different sides of being a woman, elevate self-love, and deeply listen to our truest needs. The ebb and flow of energy and emotions is our special power. Let’s learn how to harness it.
This workshop welcomes all women. See below for specific groups who may benefit from attending this workshop, and reach out to me please if you are keen to attend or co-host!
Next course will be a 3-week live Zoom + recorded practices.

“A way of living softly, like meditation.”
Some kind words—
“Shena’s Womb Wisdom workshop found me at a time when I was seeking to understand the changes in my body . Without being too medical or jargon-filled, Shena was able engage us and explain the cycles a woman goes through, the changes which are to be expected and how best to nurture ourselves as each season passes. The best takeaway for me personally was the daily moon cycle journaling exercise, which I still continue doing till today as it’s allowed me to truly understand my own personal patterns. 100% for any women who simply wants to understand her cycle more!”

“Learning the wisdom behind the four inner seasons I experience as a woman has helped me embrace the physical, emotional and mental states that show up. Prior to this, I had no idea my experiences were perfectly normal and would often judge them.
I am so thankful I got to learn and experience this precious wisdom from Shena’s work. She’s very warm and passionate about this topic, I feel absolutely safe and seen in her presence. Thank you being a womens’ cheerleader Shena ☺️💛”

“I found Shena’s menstrual wisdom workshop to be really insightful and relatable. It shed light on the different seasons in our cycle – how to listen to our body, how to manage ourselves better and make it less of a struggle each month. I am a huge advocate now and encourage my friends to join if they can. I wish I knew about this when I was much younger :)”
