Pottery Square friendship

By the recommendation of a friend made in Goa I visited a spot in Pottery Square in Bhaktapur. Sajan and Srijan invited me to have chai and we slipped easily into a nourishing conversation on healing, the strength of community, flow of life, visions and past life regression, living meditation and the gurus we love. A five minutes’ hello became three hours chatting in a pottery shop. And so it is—the final days of this month-long trip I wandered the golden dusty grounds of Bhaktapur, my trusty feet walking me back to the pottery shop every time. Tibetan bowls were rung and we sang mantras with full devotion, danced a little, ate curd, threw some clay, sat together in silence, then laughed, teared and hugged a lot. All the good fun’s going on while customers, neighbours and their mama came by too, dipping into these rich conversations and pockets of silence that were pregnant with loving luminosity. I feel I was sitting with gurus of many lifetime before.
